I think the load on the rod bearings will be an issue when you get above 15:1 on a bracket piece.

565 BBC 14.5:1 Meth injected.
Went from a -7 NGK to a -9 and the tune up is now wanting way less fuel. Anyone ever see that?

I suggest you do what the ring maker recommends. I doubt the recommend anything they have not proven with LOTS of builds.
