Re: Erson Cams Quality Discussion
Cedarmachine, what is that cam for? 302* duration at .050"??!! 264/267° at .050. I think you were looking at the .020" duration. Oops! My mistake! Looking at that when I wasn't awake yet and hadn't had my morning diet Pepsi! These 65 year old eyes are just too blurry when I'm first awake....

Re: Erson Cams Quality Discussion
Russ, it's great to see that you're trying to bring back Erson Cams from the ravages that so often happen when a company is bought out by owners that only care about the bottom line, not about the product and the customers. I really like what you're doin'! Here's your pic sized to work on Speedtalk....

Re: HOW FUN DOES THIS SOUND??
This project sounds like a LOT of fun. With the power/weight ratio it will have I would seriously consider roll bars/roll cage! 'Cause it ain't gonna be just in case you do something crazy, it's gonna be WHEN you do something crazy!!

http://gyazo.com/bb407345c6714d1c69899c54a3c03a38.png According to the Dart catalog they flow over 260 cfm. I've always read that double the flow cfm is the horsepower that the heads will support so they should support around 520+ HP. Some of the more knowledgeable members can correct if I'm wrong.

Re: Crazy old terminology and parts

Re: 351W vacuum rule dirt track cam
I have to agree that vacuum rules and "cranking compression" rules are a crock, but I've got an even better one for you. One of our local tracks dropped the vacuum rule this year for the stock class. The rule now is "Must idle stock--850 RPM max." So now they're depending on a te...
