Re: 368 Lincoln Y Block
He used the aluminum adapter to run an SBC manifold. Probably a Performer RPM or a Victor Jr. 750 Carb. None of the factory manifolds would make that much power.

I think it was a .060 over 368. Not sure on cam timing, probably in the 240s @ .050

Re: 368 Lincoln Y Block
I did the Olds Hilborn on one of mine Picked up about 40 horse over the stock manifold I also tried modifying a Pontiac but the cylinder forward offset is different so you would have to cut the manifold in half to line up the ports I mispoke, you can bore the block 1/8 not .250. My Mermaid tribute c...

Re: 368 Lincoln Y Block
Valve sizes were 2.02 and 1.6 Joe would probably have the exact numbers recorded, but IIRC about mid 240s intake around 180 on the exhaust.. I think you could go a bit further than 4.1 on stroke depending on the big end of the rod. I used a BBC 2.2 on the EMC engine. Actually on the 433 stroked engi...

Re: 368 Lincoln Y Block
I have built several of these. No stock ones but full race to hot street.. I did a 433 inch with 4.1 x 4.1. At that stroke you need a custom billet or a welded crank . That engine made 425 horse with the optional 2x4 M-335 intake . The EMC engine is 383 inches with Joe Craine ported heads 12.5 compr...

Re: Lincoln 368 Y Block
be happy to help out with your Lincoln Y questions. On a PVC, use the hole in the block as an oil fill tube and an air intake, somewhere on the back of the valley pan put a hole for a PCV grommet and run it to some type of vacuum source on the intake. I might have an original road draft tube/oil fil...

Re: Air flow vs compression
The simple answer is there is no simple answer.. IMHO it depends on what you are starting out with, and where you want to go. If you have an 8.0 to 1 351M Ford then adding a couple points of compression, spending your 1k on a set of pistons and rings might be the best route.. If you have a modest to...

I want a new Y block Ford block casting with siamese bores that will go 4.125, raised cam tunnel, and conventional lifter bores to take a roller cam.
